TDM Construction Ltd was contracted in the outset of the Huntly section of the Waikato Expressway, by main contractors Fulton Hogan / HEB Joint Venture.

Our scope included the installation of 36 large culverts crossing the new expressway alignment. From steep gullies to swamp land, the project covers a vast area of differing topography, and with high rainfall, the culverts are critical in managing the run-off from the surrounding hills.

With up to eight meters of fill eventually covering some culverts, there is a high focus on quality control and hold points to ensure all aspects meet the required specifications. With the successful relationship formed, TDM Construction Ltd has also won a part of the many kilometres of network drainage associated with the new expressway.
